get tickets to dress rehearsals, a small stipend, meet new people, and have lots
of fun!

will email or mail you an info packet.
Chorus
If you have not been cast in the chorus previously and wish to
be considered, your first step in the audition process is to apply for a
live audition call-back. Email Chorus Master Timothy Todd Simmons at
Timothy.Simmons@sdopera.com to
request an application form. The application will consist of the application
form and an audition recording (cassette or CD are acceptable). Your audition
recording should contain two classical pieces, in different languages,
preferably operatic arias. The deadline for this application is July 1 before
the season for which you are applying, but tapes should not be submitted before
June 1.
From the preliminary auditions, singers will be selected to sing a live
call-back audition. These auditions are usually during the last two weeks of
July and in early August.
The chorus is strictly a part-time employment situation (evenings and weekends),
fully AGMA contracted and paid a wage of approximately $28 per hour for
rehearsals and performances.
To receive an audition application or to ask further questions, please
email Chorus Master Timothy Todd Simmons at
Timothy.Simmons@sdopera.com.
